If only they really WERE interchangeable

The other morning, I got a late start to my daily work-out and the kids ended up waking up before I was finished. Emily and Jared sat together in the recliner chair and watched me. I wasn't pushing myself all that hard because my allergies have been awful lately and I've been having some trouble breathing (I think I need to be seen about asthma, but that's another post for another day) so I wasn't all that focused on the work-out DVD and found myself listening to Emily and Jared's conversation while I half-heartedly followed along with the video (while wheezing and coughing and wishing I had an inhaler, or SOMETHING).

Jared: Emily, mommy is wearing her excercise boobies you know
Emily: NO SHE'S NOT Jared, stop being crazy.
Jared: YES SHE IS! I can see them!
Emily: Jared, mommy has the same boobies she always does.
Jared: MOOOOOOOO-OOOOOOOM! Emily says you're not wearing your exercise boobies, and you are, I know it, and I'm right, right?

me (very confused as to what the heck this child is talking about): What exactly do you mean by exercise boobies Jared?
Jared: That thing under your shirt. That gray thing.

And then it hit me like a ton of bricks. He was referring to the gray sports bra I wear while I exercise!!! Now, if I really DID have exercise boobies I could put on, believe me I would! And they'd be a whole lot perkier than the current models.

(and forgive me, FIL, for subjecting you to that topic, but it was just too funny not to share!)

PS I'm guest-blogging for Steph today and tomorrow, so head on over!

I'd make sure I didn't have a pair for exercising

Ha Ha :-)
I'm with you, my exercise pair would be much perkier than the current every day pair.

Gotta love those kiddos. Too cute.

Well, seeing as I try to exercise where nobody can see me, I think I might have to go with perkier for public and this older pair for exercising... It's interesting how they can get so close to right, but still be so wrong! Didn't Jared once tell you that you could buy boobies at the store and then pointed out the mannequins as proof?

OK ~ Before I get called out again, luv ya Kaci, but really...that was so mean, I'm commenting and saving more fairies from the big bad world.

I love your stories Leah...you relate them so well, it's like we were there. Did you ever look up that "Emily's Eye's" song?

Personally I think I would take them off completely for everyday around the house and/or exercising. I'd save those perky boobs for special occasions.....wink wink.

Hey Leah! I just read your comment on my mom's blog...are you not getting my responses? I'm sorry - that's totally weird. I've responded to all of them. We're gonna have to figure this one out. Hmmmm... maybe it was the mickey that McDonalds slipped us yesterday. Check in your junk folder??? Maybe your e-mail thinks I'm junk. :0)

Try e-mailing me tomorrow and I'll respond tomorrow. If you don't get it, we'll know there's more investigating to do.

Oh, by the way...(I commented on here earlier, but it dumped it, I guess) Olivia thinks my boobies come with whatever bra I'm wearing (which I guess would be kinda true, since they're padded - ha ha). So that's one thing they have in common. Kids come up with the funniest things. :0)

LOL! That would be nice.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

I was hoping Jodi would mention Olivia's thoughts about her boobies. It's so funny when she tells Jodi, "Mom, you're putting your boobies on again!" Olivia has always been interesting in our boobies ever since she was breast fed. Not sure why, but she's ALWAYS checking down our shirts AND grabbing them. She's 2 1/2 for crying out loud--lol!

P.S. Thanx for your fun comments on my blog! :D

LOL!! Kids... they are the greatest.

In high school I would occasionally wear a sports bra. (I am VERY flat chested... VERY flat. Are we clear that I am flat??) Once when I was wearing it my boyfriend said, "You're wearing that sporty bra today, aren't you?"

"Ummm... yeah." I said. "What about it?"

He replies, "It makes you look like a man."

I'm happy to report that I refrained from giving him a fat lip with my fist. Excellent self-control I have. He called it my man bra ever after.

Is that too much information for my first comment ever on your blog?? ;) Thanks for stopping by mine the other day! I kept meaning to come here and comment. I got here, but didn't comment until now! :) Nice to "meet" you!
