Emily came home from school with a picture she'd drawn and she told me that on the back she wrote all the words for Jingle Bells. I turn it over and this is what I find:
I burst out laughing, and she joins in. She's SOOOO her father's daughter... ha ha ha!
In case you can't read five-year-old phonetically spelled words, here's the decoded versions of her work:
Jinggl bels (jingle bells)
Batman smels (batman smells)
robin
Lad a ayg (laid an egg)
bat
mobel brooc u wyl (mobile broke a wheel)
the jkr (the joker)
got uwa (got away)
I can't stop giggling over her writing all that out AT SCHOOL! This is one of the things I'll be sure to keep FOREVER to show her when she's all grown up. LOL!!

OMG that's hysterical!
SO AWESOME!!
I'm impressed by much of her spelling! She really tried to sound out the words. I'm guessing that her teacher didn't tell her how to spell the words to that particular song, but you were able to decipher it! Good job, Em!
Hahahahaha!!
I was totally able to make it out.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! That is seriously so stinkin' cute!!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Classic!
I don't think my kids know the 'correct' words to the song! LOL Thanks for sharing- that's for sure a keeper!
