update

The kids are still doing totally fine. I'm fully mobile, but still stiff and sore down my right side and into my hip. The doctor said to stay on the Ibuprofin for up to a week and then see about getting a massage, which should help loosen up those muscles. Still no word from the other driver's insurance about accepting liability, so we've spent the last few days calling and calling and pushing the issue. They're holding firm and we've been unable thus far to get the okay to get our van repaired and get into a rental vehicle. SUCH A PAIN!!

I hope to work tonight and Jared's birthday post (which should have been posted SATURDAY on his actual birthday, but I have been dealing with a bazillion phone calls with insurance companies blah blah blah and haven't had time), and that should be posted for tomorrow...

We've had a couple of wrecks where the other party would not take responsiblity and our insurance stepped in (our insurance company's lawyer) and dealt with the other insurance company for us. They also went ahead and settled our claim and pursued recovering the claim from the other person after they totalled our vehicles and paid us/allowed us to get repairs. Just letting you know.

Hope you get it all worked out and continue to heal - take care - Kellan

*gasp* I started reading this and then had to scan down to see what in the world had happened. That is so scary. I am so glad the kids are alright. I hope you start feeling better soon!
My Lbaby's birthday was Saturday, too. :)

so sorry that this is turning into a big headache. I hope that you start to feel better. And remember to eat your protein so your muscles can help repair them selves if they are hurt :)

Kellan (above) was lucky. Her insurance company treated her right. I had an accident where this kid from out of state was at fault & my insurance company (Farmer's) refused to help me unless I was willing to pay the deductible, etc. till they could resolve it. Plus, if they did anything, even though it was my fault, they said they would raise my rates because I had them help me!! I switched to Allstate shortly afterwards. Needless to say, I got very "grumpy" with the other insurance company & FINALLY got the car repaired--took 3 MONTHS!! Hope that doesn't happen to you.
