When you're THAT tired...

Connor refuses to nap on a regular basis, and I've given up trying to force the issue. It just ends up with one or the other of us feeling very worked up and upset, and by the time he finally gives in and naps, I generally have to wake him back up again shortly thereafter, or he'll never sleep that night. On a good day, I can time coming home from errands or an outing and he'll fall asleep in the car and get a little catnap in; just enough to revive himself to last until bedtime. On a bad day, like Monday, he DOESN'T fall asleep on the way home from an outing, despite being run ragged ALL DAY LONG, and as I'm fixing dinner later that evening, he's having major meltdowns in the middle of the floor. Not a pretty site (or sound). He was crawling and thrashing around in the diningroom, and I left him to it and got busy with dinner (he wasn't staying in his bed for a nap, refused snacks, drinks, snuggles, books, toys, etc). He suddenly did a big ragged sigh and got quiet so I peeked over at him and found him sleeping under my table. I guess when you're THAT tired, you can sleep anywhere (eventually).

I love it when they fall asleep in strange places like Zephrah asleep at the table. I also have a great picture of my nephew asleep on a chair (sort of) in his room half dressed.

Conner just looks so sweet and innocent in his baby pose under the table!

oh that is just great! I love it! I guess passing out under a table is better then sleeping in his bed. :)

How funny! I love to see pictures of kids falling asleep in funny places. I have a friend here whose little daughter falls asleep sitting in chairs at the table or computer, sliding off the couch, and all kinds of other funny positions. It makes me laugh every time.

Sorry about the nap thing, too. My kids both gave up naps at around 2 or 2 1/2. I battled and battled for months with it, but nothing ever came of it but frustration for everyone. I finally just gave up and put them to bed earlier at night.

Good luck!

(Oh, and I still haven't gotten the recital pictures from my mom. I might just put up the professional pictures they took for the programs.)

How stinking cute is he?? That is the funniest thing ever. I hate it when M doesn't get her nap, and I think Nat may already be reaching that stage, she took only a 20 min nap, and now thinks she's ok... cranky as all get out, but she isn't going to sleep....

Little stink bug.
I had a little kid in my chair today that was about 7. I said to myself...I now know what my Great nephew Connor will look like at seven. He was so similar in the
facial features. Good looking kid
by the way!Needed to brush better but then I don't find many people who don't. Wait. I. AM. OFF. THE.
CLOCK. NO teeth talk.
