My friend Jami is hand-raising Love Birds so they will be nice and tame, and the boys and I got a chance to hold them for a little bit. There were five eggs that all hatched over the course of about two weeks, so the last one is still pretty small without many feathers. I believe Jared is holding the one that was the first to hatch. The boys REALLY enjoyed getting to check out a little animal up close that they've never had much experience with before!

awww...we raised Ducks that were that small...and rabbits...and a dog...cows and a porcuipine...don't ask!
Those are so stinking cute!!
How fun! Lilly for some reason has said she wants to hold and feed a real bird, so I'm thinking we'll have to head to the zoo for that new bird exhibit :o)
