A positive attitude

I've decided to try and be more positive about the "less than wonderful" things in my life. For example, instead of lamenting on the woeful state of our backyard, I've decided to make the stretch into finding the positive aspect of the situation. Instead of thinking how horrible my backyard looks so overgrown with weeds (thanks to the fact that not only does our push mower not work, but now neither does the riding mower...), I'm going to tell myself we've created a new style of landscaping. We're calling it the "Wild and Untamed" look, and I kid you not, it's the LATEST craze!

Just LOOK at the lush green leaves and stems of this FABULOUS variety of dandelion! And the warm, sunny yellow of the flower itself...

Take a look at this thriving specimen...It's tall and sturdy, is covered in very sharp spines, so no one is going to want to bother it; VERY great plant to have in your yard or garden. VERY hardy...

Just look how wonderful an entire yard filled with dandelions looks (I know you're jealous!)

But wait! There's more! OH, there's more!

You, too, can have this fabulous moss sucking the life right out of your lawn, choking it off so that it whithers into GORGEOUS stringy brown hairs; taking over the lawn in some areas so thickly that grass won't even grow in the first place. NO MOWING! Hardly needs watering (did you know that moss in your grass is REALLY hard to get rid of? Another very hardy specimen for your "wild and untamed" landscaping theme)

Can't forget the clovers! Bees LOVE the flowers, and will swarm the area all day long. Who doesn't want bees hovering over their lawn while children are out playing? Can't beat the lush green coloring they add to your color schemes, and the softness of them beneath your feet. I'm tellin' ya, you can't go wrong with some clovers!

You're sold, aren't you? Here's the good news! This style of landscaping doesn't cost a thing, and doesn't take any time away from your daily schedules. It's simple, just make sure you have TWO non-functioning mowers, make sure it rains every weekend you think you might get outside and at least use the weed-whacker, give it about two months and TA-DA! You too, will have a fabulous looking yard...
